WARRANTY

CROWNS, VENEERS:

  • 2 years

BRIDGES, BRIDGEWORK:

The warranty period, subject to regular clinical check-ups, is generally 2 years for bridges.

REMOVABLE DENTURES, OVERDENTURES:

  • 1 year (after a longer period, the jawbones may change/resorb to such an extent that a new denture or relining of the existing denture may become necessary)

FILLINGS:

  • 1 year

ROOT CANAL TREATMENT:

  • 1 year

If the tooth must be extracted within this period, its cost will be credited toward the price of an implant or dental restoration.

IMPLANTS:

Conditions of Implant Warranty

Our clinic provides a long-term warranty for placed dental implants, provided that the patient complies with the prescribed follow-up and maintenance requirements. During the warranty period, if the implant fails, we will repair or replace it free of charge.

The warranty applies exclusively to the implant body and the implantation procedure performed by us; separate warranty terms apply to the abutment and the prosthetic restoration. A condition of the warranty is that the patient attends regular follow-up examinations and professional oral hygiene treatments prescribed according to their individual condition, but at least once a year. Failure to comply automatically results in the termination of the warranty.

The warranty does not cover the following cases:

  • poor oral hygiene,
  • smoking,
  • accident or trauma,
  • untreated general illnesses (e.g. diabetes),
  • bruxism (teeth grinding),
  • intervention or modification performed in another clinic, untreated dental foci, inflammatory lesions, or existing periodontal diseases that endanger the health of the tissues surrounding the implant.

The warranty becomes void if the patient fails to maintain an inflammation-free oral condition or does not have existing dental foci or periodontal diseases treated.

The warranty period, subject to regular clinical check-ups, is generally 10 years for implants. A lifetime warranty applies to material defects of the implant screws, such as fracture or cracking.

Osseointegration warranty: if, after placement, the implant does not integrate into the bone, becomes inflamed, or is fixed by fibrous tissue instead of bone, we will place another implant free of charge.

If bone loss, inflammation, loosening, or loss of a successfully integrated implant occurs later, it is no longer covered by the warranty, as such issues may be caused by the patient’s health condition, diseases, medications, treatments, smoking, or oral hygiene.

BONE GRAFTING:

No warranty is provided, as it depends on the bone-forming ability of the individual body.

High cholesterol and triglyceride levels, as well as low vitamin D levels, can negatively affect osseointegration; therefore, it is recommended to have these checked before implant placement and/or bone grafting surgery.

CONDITIONS OF THE WARRANTY:

1. We provide long-term warranty coverage for the treatments performed for our patients.
2. Warranty work performed within the warranty period will be repaired or replaced free of charge.
3. The patient is informed in detail that, based on their individual condition, regular follow-up examinations and oral hygiene treatments at the clinic (but at least once a year) are required in order for us to maintain the warranty for many years. Failure to comply results in loss of warranty.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE DENTAL WARRANTY CERTIFICATE IS PROVIDED BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER TREATMENTS:

1. Dental work requires regular care and treatment; warranty can only be provided where both personal and in-clinic oral hygiene are ensured. If the patient does not follow the instructions (e.g. fails to attend prescribed treatments), the warranty becomes void.
2. The dental hygienist provides advice regarding home oral hygiene; we kindly ask the patient to follow these instructions.
3. At least one annual check-up at the clinic is required as a condition of the warranty, including for foreign patients, and this is recorded in the patient’s file. This means at least one oral hygiene treatment per year with us (maximum interval: 365 + 30 days). If 4 annual visits are prescribed, the patient may complete 3 elsewhere, but we kindly request written confirmation during the year so that it can be attached to the file and the warranty can remain valid. If the patient does not attend a check-up at the clinic for more than one year (365 + 30 days), we will no longer be able to provide the warranty.
4. For other types of work, warranty is provided on a case-by-case basis, e.g. 1 year for oral hygiene treatments, laser pocket treatment, root canal treatment, teeth whitening, etc.
5. Further details and individual questions are discussed with the treating dentist.
